About AREM Labs

AREM Labs is an independent software studio. We publish 243 free tools here for people who work with files every day: image, GIF, video, audio and PDF converters, spreadsheet cleanup utilities, barcode and QR generators, and a set of calculators for online sellers.

Everything is free and nothing asks you to create an account. More importantly, the files you open never reach our servers. Reading, converting and saving all happen inside your browser using WebAssembly builds of the same libraries a desktop app would use, which means we cannot see the contents of your files even if we wanted to.

That design decision has a practical consequence worth knowing about: the first run of a video or audio tool downloads a conversion engine of roughly thirty megabytes, and processing speed depends on your own hardware rather than a server farm. In exchange, a confidential price list or an unreleased product photo stays on your machine.

Running costs are covered by advertising. Ad slots sit outside the tool area in fixed-height containers so they never shift the layout or get in the way of the work.

Platform and marketplace names are used descriptively only. AREM Labs is not a partner of, or affiliated with, any of the companies named on this site, and none of our tools are official products of theirs.

If a converter produces the wrong result, or a platform changes its import template, please tell us. Template updates are tracked almost entirely through that kind of feedback.

How the tools and guides are made

Every tool is tried against real files before it goes live: product exports downloaded from seller panels, HEIC photos straight off a phone, screen recordings and scanned PDFs. The converters have automated tests that run on every change, and when a platform changes its import template the matching column map is updated.

Blog guides are written against what the tool actually does. A setting, button or limit described in a guide exists in the tool's code; when a guide and a tool disagree we treat it as a bug and fix it. Guides carry no sponsored links, paid placements or affiliate referrals.

What we do not do

• We do not upload, store or inspect your files.
• We do not ask for an account, collect email addresses or watermark the output.
• There is no paid tier and no file-count cap; the only limit is your device's memory.

• SheetJS Community Edition (Apache-2.0) — reading and writing spreadsheet files.
• FFmpeg.wasm (LGPL) — the in-browser video and audio engine.
• Astro, React and Tailwind CSS (MIT) — the site and the tool interfaces.

Evan Carter builds the tools on this site and writes and updates the guides. He is a software developer working on e-commerce sites and marketplace integrations, and most of the tools here grew out of file problems that kept coming up while working with sellers: a CSV that will not open, a rejected product template, an image that is too heavy.
